 In 4 weeks, this program will give you strategies most coaches aren't using to help job seekers get hired faster by identifying the channels where they can engage with target companies and using processes, scripts, and other tools to execute their search.

Recruiters are using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media to find candidates in addition to LinkedIn. 

While LinkedIn is important in job search, there are opportunities to use other platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and more - to engage with hiring managers, speed up their job search, and get the job they want.

We will cover LinkedIn in depth plus other social media your clients might already be using and not sure how to leverage for their search. 

You'll get instruction, scripts, and checklists to use with clients that cover: 

  • using the LinkedIn jobs feature 
  • using the LinkedIn search feature to locate cold contacts
  • warming up and then connecting with cold contacts
  • connecting with an existing networking connection on LinkedIn
  • using Twitter search and List features to make research easy
  • researching companies on Instagram
  • finding and using Facebook groups and more!

Certification Requirements: Complete homework following each session. Certification will require a $88 annual renewal and include regular updates on changes to social media functionality for job search.

Are the Classes Recorded?

Yes! The Social Media for Job Search Strategist (SMJSS) classes are all recorded. You will have access to them within 24 hours of each live class.


How Long Will I Have Access? 

You will have access to the recorded classes for 1 year within the CTL RWA Academy platform on Mighty Networks.


Do I Have to Be a Member to Join?

No. CTL Associates and Career Industry Authority members benefit from discounted registration, but you do not have to be one to register or maintain your certification.


What Does Renewal Cost? What Do I Get? 

Due to the nature of social media and its relentless changes, the SMJSS will be renewed annually. You will receive quarterly updates on new features, any new checklists that are created, and a listing in the Career Thought Leaders public directory every year that you maintain your certification. Cost is $88 each year to maintain. No additional membership is required to maintain the certification.


What Is Included? How Much Does the Certification Cost?

The certification includes 6 hours of instruction, 12 worksheets/checklists that you can use with your clients, a listing in the Career Thought Leaders public directory, and a Credly digital badge to verify your knowledge. The initial investment for the program is $717 ($100 discount for CTL Associates and CIA members). Then, it is $88 to renew each year as detailed above.
